Jalili, Ashton review Iran-G5+1 talks

Geneva, Dec 7, IRNA -- Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton here on Monday evening reviewed the continued talks between Iran and the Group 5+1.

The axis of the Tuesday talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and representatives of the Group 5+1 was also discussed by the two officials.

Iran and the Group 5+1 resumed talks in Geneva on Monday after a lapse of 13 months.

Ashton is negotiating on behalf of the Group 5+1 (US, China, Russia, France, Britain and Germany).

Except for representatives of the US and Russia, the German, French, British and Chinese envoys have changed and Ashton has replaced Javier Solana to be in charge of the talks with Iran.
