U.S. Treasury Announces Sanctions Against 10 Businesses Linked To Iran
November 30, 2010
The U.S. Treasury Department has announced it is imposing sanctions on 10 businesses in Europe and Asia that are allegedly linked to Iran.
The Treasury Department said all the businesses are connected to the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines and Bank Mellat, two organizations that have been targeted for sanctions because of their ties to Iran's weapons of mass destruction programs.
The Treasury Department did not identify the 10 businesses but did say eight are located on the Isle of Man, one in Switzerland, and one in Malaysia.
