Terrorists carry out UN resolutions, disgrace for Security Council
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA -- Iran on Tuesday decried the disgrace for the United Nations Security Council for assassination of Iranian scientist singled out in the world body's resolution.
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili blamed the United Nations Security Council for passing resolutions being carried out by the terrorists. 'It is a big disgrace for the world body.'
According to the Secretariat of the SNSC, Jalili made the remarks in a meeting with the Iraqi, Syrian and Lebanese ministers for youth affairs.
'Such terror acts are indicative of enemies' desperation and failure of their anti-Iran campaign such as sanctions,' he said.
Targeting the scientists is an arrogant move and in line with the U.S. dream to monopolize science, he noted.
In the meantime, Iraqi Minister for Youth Affairs Jasem Jafar appreciated Iran's contribution to Iraq and help establish the new government in Baghdad.
He called for broadening cooperation.
