Iran not to give up nuclear rights in upcoming talks: President
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Sari, Mazandaran Prov, Nov 30, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed on Tuesday that during the next round of talks with western states Iran would not withdraw, even one iota, from its nuclear rights.
The President made the remarks in his address to a large crowd of people in the northern provincial capital city of Sari in Mazandaran province where he arrived earlier on Tuesday as part of the third round of his provincial tours.
This is his 80th provincial visit since he took office as Iran's president in 2005.
Recalling the West’s “wrong move” in adopting Resolution 1929 against Iran while the country was in negotiations with the Group 5+1, the President said, “You have made the illegal move against the Iranian nation while the negotiations were underway and now you are again asking for resumption of talks.”
“Iran has always been in favor of talks in a fair atmosphere and based on mutual respect,” President Ahmadinejad stressed.
He proposed western states to leave their “arrogant behavior” so that it could be possible “to hold talks and exchange views on major international and global issues in a fair atmosphere.”
