Salehi rejects rumors of Iran halting uranium enrichment
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Nov 23, IRNA -- Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali-Akbar Salehi rejected rumours that Iran has halted its uranium enrichment activities.
He made the remark in an exclusive interview with IRNA on Tuesday in reaction to some western media which have claimed Iran has stopped enriching uranium.
Adopting a sarcastic tone, he said “tell these media and press to congratulate themselves.”
Pointing to scattering such false news on threshold of resumption of talks with the 5+1, he said Iran, in its forward nuclear movement, will never listen to any unfounded news engineered by western media and press.
Some western media and press, quoting certain western diplomats, claimed that Iran has halted its uranium enrichment activities due to some technical problems which has resulted in breaking down of thousands of specialized centrifuges.
