Europe's rational approach can end nuclear stalemate: Boroujerdi

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Berlin, Nov 18, IRNA -- The Chairman of the Foreign Policy and National Security Committee of Majlis Alaeddin Boroujerdi urged Europe to have a rational approach in its bid to end the impasse over Iran's nuclear policy.

Meeting with Danish media representatives in Copenhagen on Thursday, Boroujerdi emphasized Europe's rational approach within the framework of the '5 plus 1' (United States, Britain, China, France, Russia and Germany) talks could be a way out of the dead-end.

He reiterated his country's nuclear policy was very clear and transparent.

'We are pursuing a world free of nuclear weapons,' the top Iranian lawmaker said.

'We are also strongly opposing the production of third generation atomic bombs by the US and certain other European countries,' Boroujerdi added.

Iran has repeatedly called for global nuclear disarmament, including in the Middle East region where the Zionist regime has stockpiled hundreds of nuclear warheads with open support by the US and its European allies.
