Iran calls for global dismantlement of WMDs
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
New York, Nov 17, IRNA -- Iran on Wednesday said global dismantlement of weapons of mass destruction is the only way to keep such arms away of terrorists and non-governmental players.
Director general for international and political affairs at Iran's Foreign Ministry Gholam Hossein Dehqani told the UN Security Council session that such arms should be removed in a coordinated and all-out move, away of discriminatory and political motivations.
He said as member of all international regulations and conventions on ban on production and use of weapons of mass destruction, the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that existence of the WMDs and their development are an inhumane, immoral, and illegal move.
