Iranian MPs, nuclear experts highlight invalidity of Amano views
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA -- Iranian Members of Parliament and nuclear experts on Wednesday criticized IAEA Director General Yukiyo Amano for making politically motivated, repeated and invalid statements about Iranian nuclear program.
Amano, who replaced Mohamed ElBaradei for about one year, made an unreal and biased statement about Iran's refusal to cooperate with inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Vice-President and head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali-Akbar Salehi announced that since 2003, more than 4,000 man/day inspections have been made on Iran’s nuclear facilities and more than 100 inspectors traveled to Iran eversince.
The MPs and nuclear experts have in series of complaints said Amano made wrong statements under the US influence.
MP from Tehran Esmaeel Kowsari told IRNA that Amano does not decide independently, rather he is subordinate to such influential countries as the US, France and the UK.
Another MP from Tehran Hossein Ebrahimi said Iran has always cooperated with the IAEA, whose inspectors have always been active and the agency's cameras monitor Iran’s facilities 24 hours.
