IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Oct 26, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Iran’s nuclear program was progressing well according to the fixed timetable despite all political pressures and sanctions.
He made the remarks here Tuesday morning during his weekly press briefing after the fuel injection operation started in the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in south of the country.
Asked to comment on the latest achievement in the power plant which was attained despite all propaganda ballyhoo and pressures against Iran, he described the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant project as a big step towards replacing the existing energy resources with better and healthier ones in the future.
He noted that the electricity generated in the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant will soon join the main stream in the country, adding that Iran will continue its peaceful activities in other areas as well.
The spokesman stressed that political pressures and sanctions could never hinder progress of the country and stop the Iranian nation from pursuing its lawful rights in manipulating nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
Mehmanparast went on to stress that Iran will definitely follow its long-term programs in nuclear areas.
