Beirut, Oct 15, IRNA -- Minister of Intelligence Hojjatoleslam Heidar Moslehi says the two Americans charged of spying should wait for trial and court ruling.
'In view of this ministry (of intelligence), the two detained Americans, charged of spying, should wait for trial and issuance of verdict by the judicial organ,' Hojjatoleslam Moslehi, who was a member of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's entourage in his Lebanon visit, told IRNA here on Thursday.
The minister said the other American, Ms. Sarah Shourd, who was already released temporarily on Islamic passion ground, health problems, heavy bailout and per a judicial ruling, should return Iran if necessary.
He said that as for the Americans, there are proof and evidence at hand which have been put at the disposal of the judiciary to make necessary decisions.
Three Americans, accused of spying, were detained on southwestern Iran last year over illegal entry into Iranian territory.
Sarah Emily Shourd, 31, Shane Michael Bauer and Joshua Felix Fattal both 27, were arrested on Iranian soil in July 2009 after illegally tresspassing into the country.
On recent terrorist incidents in the country, Hojjatoleslam Moslehi said his ministry personnel have come up with clues and the result will be made public soon.
Dismissing any link between terrorist incidents in certain Kurdish inhabited regions and the terrorist Jundullah group, the minister said the moves have been taken by Selfi Kurd groups.
