Mehmanparast: US recent move is clear interference in Iran's affairs

Tehran, Oct 1, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Friday that the recent measure by the US to pose restrictions on travels of eight Iranian officials and block their assets is a clear sign of interference in Iran internal affairs.
According to a report by the Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Bureau, he added that the move reveals that the US supports unrests and law-breaking inside the country and provokes such acts.
He further noted that the US has conspicuously committed the act and it seeks to divide Iranian officials.
Mehmanparast also contended that by this move, the US intends to divert the public opinion form the logical question posed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on September 11 terror attacks.
Stating that Iran will follow up the issue through the UN and other international circles, he also said that the act contradicts the US claim that it has friendly ties with other countries based on mutual respect and non-interference in other countries' internal affairs.
Iran will seriously defend its rights and it will prove that the wrong approaches will get them nowhere, he concluded.
