Iran calls for change in composition of UN team on nuclear talks
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Sept 13, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on Monday that Iran has called for change in composition of the United Nations team - G5+1 - on nuclear talks.
Mottaki made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Burkina Faso's counterpart, Alain Yoda Bedouma.
On a proposal made by International Atomic Energy Agency on fuel swap for Tehran medical research reactor between Iran and the western suppliers, Mottaki said that Iran is waiting for arrangements by the IAEA to supply 20 percent fuel in return for 3.5 percent enriched uranium.
He said that the G5+1 failed to adopt proper approach in negotiations to resolve the dispute over Iranian nuclear program.
The foreign minister complained that the G5+1 has proved insincerity in the nuclear talks so far and that Iran demanded a change in composition of the United Nations team.
Iran has listed names of new countries to be added to the G5+1, Mottaki said.
