Salehi: Bushehr power plant, unique in the world

Bushehr, Aug 21, IRNA -- Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Saturday that the Bushehr nuclear power plant is a unique power plant throughout the globe.

He made the remarks during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergei Kiriyenko after the loading fuel started in the Bushehr nuclear power plant in this southern Iranian port city.

The operation of transferring nuclear fuel to the Bushehr nuclear power plant was carried out this morning.

Salehi reiterated that the Bushehr power plant is unique from the various aspects including the combination of two western and eastern technical systems.

The Bushehr power plant is the manifestation of patience and resistance of the Iranian nation in achieving its ideals, he added.
