FM spokesman: fuel swap talks should be held soon

Tehran, Aug 3, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said fuel swap talks should be held soon.
Talking to reporters during his weekly briefing, he however noted that talks between Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili and European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton is scheduled for September.
He said talks on fuel swap are possible soon and the Vienna group members are getting ready for it.
Commenting on the mission of the new Iranian ambassador to Iraq, he said he will work on expansion of ties between the two countries.
He said Iran believed establishment of peace and stability in Iraq would positively influence the growth of bilateral cooperation.
He also noted that the speedy formation of government in Iraq will lead to further security and stability in the region.
