Iran's letter delivered to IAEA chief

Vienna, July 26, IRNA -- Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali-Asghar Soltaniyeh Conferred on Monday with IAEA chief Yukiya Amano and delivered Iran’s letter to him.
In the meeting, the Iranian envoy voiced Iran’s readiness for resumption of talks with Vienna group on nuclear fuel swap deal between the two sides.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Soltaniyeh said Iran’s official letter reflects the country’s readiness for resumption of talks on nuclear swap deal.
Details of the letter will be made known later, he said, adding that Tehran’s clear and simple message is it is ready for next round of talks on nuclear fuel swap deal between the two sides.
“We are ready to resume negotiations on nuclear fuel swap deal as a humanitarian project within IAEA activities without any preconditions,” he said.
The IAEA chief welcomed Iran’s response and underlined that he will fully back the move and will do his best to hold the meeting on nuclear swap deal at the earliest opportunity, Soltaniyeh said.
He also declared that he will inform the representatives of Russia, France and the US of the contents of the letter.
