Russia does not heed Iran sanctions: Russian minister

Moscow, July 14, IRNA -- Russian Minister of Energy Sergei Shmatko said on Wednesday that Russia does not heed sanctions on Iran.
Addressing a press conference in Moscow, Russian Minister of Energy made the remarks at the end of negotiations with Iranian Oil Minister Massoud Mir-Kazemi.
Shmatko said the two countries mull expanding cooperation in the field of oil, gas and generating nuclear energy.
Russian Minister of Energy added that there is no hindrance on the way of bolstering bilateral ties.
He said that the two countries trust each other, calling for boosting issues of mutual interests.
Oil Minister of Iran arrived in Moscow on Wednesday to confer with Russian Minister of Energy on ways to foster gas, oil and energy cooperation.
Mir-Kazemi is visiting Russia at the invitation of Shmatko and in response to the visit of the Russian energy minister to Iran which took place last year.
In the meantime, Deputy Oil Mnister Javad Ouji heading a delegation arrived in the capital city of Moscow on Monday and held talks with Russian Deputy Energy Minister Sergei Kudryashov on promotion of gas, oil, energy and petrochemical relations.
