French Oil Company Total Says Halting Oil Shipments To Iran
June 28, 2010
French oil company Total today said that it has halted oil shipments to Iran, just days after the U.S. passed new sanctions on Tehran.
The new penalties focus on Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as imports of gasoline and other energy products.
The United States and many Western countries accuse Iran of using its nuclear program to develop nuclear weapons. Iran says the program is peaceful.
