Russian technicians in Tehran for TRR visit, nuclear talks

Tehran, May 25, IRNA – A Russian team of technicians arrived here on Tuesday to inspect Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) and negotiate with Iranian officials on the medical and industrial radioisotopes.

Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Shirzadian said Russian experts visited the TRR and shocked by high level of the facility’s standards.

Shirzadian quoted the Russian experts as saying that they were shocked by competence of the TRR staff and by the top-level standard of the radioisotopes, especially radio medicine section, of the facility.

He further quoted the Russians as saying that they had well understood Iran’s concern to supply fuel for TRR, so Moscow would do its best to ensure the reactor continues its activities.
