OIC secretary-general backs Tehran declaration on fuel swap

Dushanbe, May 20, IRNA -- Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference ( OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu expressed the hope on Thursday that Tehran’s declaration on nuclear fuel swap deal would win support of the international community.
Speaking to reporters, he said it is among legitimate rights of very nation to make use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
He expressed the hope that Tehran declaration which was inked by the presidents of Iran and Brazil and the Turkish prime minister would win support of the international community and help remove obstacles to this end.
The 37th OIC Foreign Ministerial level called for opening of an OIC women center in Cairo, he said.
The 37th OIC Foreign Ministerial meeting kicked off on Saturday in the capital city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in which some 57 delegates from member states took part and concluded its work on Thursday after relative documents were signed and the final declaration issued.
OIC in its final declaration on Thursday backed Tehran’s declaration signed by Iran, Brazil and Turkey on nuclear fuel swap deal.
