IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, May 13, IRNA – Iran Ambassador to Brazil Mohsen Shaterzadeh said here on Thursday that the most significant achievement of the Brazilian President Lula da Silva’s visit to Iran is that it takes away the initiative to solve international issues from big powers.
Talking to IRNA, he added that a delegation of 300-strong delegation will accompany him in this Iran visit.
The delegation includes six ministers as well as two deputy ministers, he noted.
Lula who is currently in Russia is to arrive in Tehran on Saturday night.
He is scheduled to confer with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Shaterzadeh said.
He will also meet with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Holding a press conference and speaking in G15 Summit are among his other programs during his visit, he said.
Iran’s envoy to Brazil further stated that some 34 reporters are to accompany him, the largest media delegation he has ever had with him.
Some 22 documents will be discussed during Lula’s stay in Tehran, he said, noting that 17 of them will be signed in this trip.
In addition to bolstering Iran-Brazil ties, Lula’s visit to Tehran will have international achievements, Shaterzadeh concluded.
