Production of biological weapons, treason against humanity: VP

Tehran, May 6, IRNA - First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said on Thursday that production of nuclear and biological weapons is a treason against humanity.

He made the remarks in a ceremony to declare Iran's international qualification for producing vaccine held in the Iranian capital this morning.

He said the US forces have so far killed over 1.5 million innocent people across the world under the pretext of anti-terrorism campaign, while Iran arrested the terrorist gang leader Abdolmalek Rigi without hurting anyone.

During the event, the World Health Organization (WHO) endorsed Iran's international qualification for producing vaccines.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is the first country in the East Mediterranean region which has the technical and scientific capability to export vaccines to various world countries.
