Bandarabbas, Hormuzgan Prov., April 23, IRNA -- The speedboats of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) captured hypothetical enemy’s destroyer in less than 30 minutes, thus breaking a new record in world’s maritime combat.

More than 300 rocket and missile launcher speedboats of the IRGC in coordination attacked the hypothetical enemy’s destroyers in less than 30 minutes and captured them before the eyes of tens of Iranian and foreign news networks’ reporters.

They then hoisted flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran atop the captured destroyers.

Spokesman of the Great Prophet V wargame Rear Admiral Ali-Reza Tangsiri said domestic equipment and warfares were fully used in the exercise.

Tangsiri said different classes of destroyers were used in that phase of the exercise.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG) Deputy Commander Hossein Salami said couple of day ago, “The maneuver aims at stressing Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz’s security as a main way for global energy and economy.”

He said, “One part of IRGC naval, ground and aerospace capabilities will be shown in the war game.”

He added, “Our message for Persian Gulf neighboring states is peace, friendship, security and mutual trust.”

“We are willing to hold such war games jointly with military units of Persian Gulf states.”

He added, “some cross-regional and European states and Zionist regime may take advantage of the war game and launch psychological operations in line with Iranophobia project, but they should know that our relations with Muslim neighboring states are deep and cannot be broken off.”

“The military drill wants to demonstrate Iran’s might for defending its territorial integrity, Persian Gulf and Oman Sea,” he said adding, “whenever the enemy threatens our nation with a threatening and harsh language, we will show in practice that we are firmly resolve to make them feel regretful.”

He also said missile and surveillance systems will be used in the military drill.
