Beijing believes in resolve of Iran's nuclear issue through talks

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, April 4, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast said on Sunday that the priority of the Chinese government is the resolve of Iran’s nuclear issue through negotiations and dialogue.

Talking to IRNA, he said the recent visit to China of Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili was positive and fruitful.

Jalili left Beijing this morning at the end of a three-day official visit to that country. He reviewed issues of mutual interest as well as the latest regional and international developments with several Chinese officials.

Mihman-Parast reiterated that Tehran and Beijing share identical views regarding several regional and international issues.

He added that both Iran and China believe in the pursuance of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and annihilation of weapons of mass destruction, adding that such attitudes would pave the way for more serious cooperation between the two nations in the near future.

He underlined the need for making use of peaceful nuclear technology by all world states.
