West has no choice but to accept nuclear Iran: diplomat
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA -- A senior Iranian diplomat said that West should face up to the fact that Iran has currently become a nuclear country, it was reported Thursday.
Iran's former ambassador to Italy Abolfazl Zohreh-Vand made the remarks while commenting on Iran's nuclear capability.
Speaking to IRNA, the diplomat said that Washington's present policies against Tehran, including its efforts to fuel Iranophobia and impose more sanctions against the country, would never benefit the US.
"The Islamic Iran is moving towards strengthening of peace both in the region and in the international community," Zohreh-Vand said referring to Iran's capability in the field of nulcear technology and its recent move to enrich uranium up to 20 percent.
He noted that West was uselessly triggering tensions both in the region and among Western states.
