10s of Million attend Feb 11 rallies

Tehran, Feb 12, IRNA -- Tens of million Iranians poured into streets on February 11 to renew allegiance with the lofty ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini.
Huge turnouts across the country once again proved that Iranians are loyal to their Islamic Revolution and country.
Senior officials also joined the rallies in different cities and in separate interview with IRNA hailed mass participation of the public in the demonstrations.
Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani said in Tehran that the strong presence of the public in the rallies is a clear response to the western countries’ empty claims.
Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, who participated in Qom rallies, said that the Islamic revolution is rooted in the genuine thought of the seminary schools and enjoys a cultural nature.
First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi in an interview in Tehran described the rallies as "unprecedented" and said that the huge turnout will disappoint the enemies.
Science, Research and Technology Minister Kamran Daneshjou said in Tehran that huge turnout demonstrates that the governing system has taken root in the hearts of the people.
Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, who was in Damghan, Semnan Province, said that Iran’s achievements in the fields of aerospace and nuclear technology have astonished the enemies.
Meanwhile, Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini said in Bojnourd, Khorassan Razavi Province, that Islamic Revolution will always remain afresh and has no fall.
“After lapse of three decades, the sense of responsibility is felt everywhere in the country and the people are still loyal to the allegiance with the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini,” he added.
Also, Managing Director of IRNA, Ali-Akbar Javanfekr said in Sanandaj, Kurdestan Province, that no scientific achievement is inaccessible for the Iranian scientists in the wake of the self-reliance originated from the Islamic Revolution.
Welfare Minister, Sadeq Mahsouli, said in Gorgan, Golestan province, Iran’s nation disgraced the conspirators with the huge turnout on Feb 11.
Industries and Mines Minister, Ali-Akbar Mehrabian said in Sari, Mazandaran Province, that February rallies recalled the unity among people from different walks of life.
Former Majlis Speaker, Ali-Akabr Nateq-Nouri, who appeared among the ralliers in Noshahr, Mazandaran Province, said that today what’s matter is strong unity and whoever thinks of discord in the country is a traitor.
Meanwhile, Vice-President for Managerial and Human Resources Development, Lotfollah Forouzandeh said in Shahr-e Kord, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari Province, said that if the arrogant powers do not abandon their wrong deeds, they will be doomed to failure.
Head of the Supreme Court, Ayatollah Ahmad Mohseni-Gorgani said that the Islamic Revolution was a divine blessing to Iranians.
Isfahani Jews representative in Majlis, Siyamak Mara Sedq said at a ceremony commemorating Islamic Revolution’s anniversary that divine values are symbol of unity among the faiths and all Iranians irrespective of their religions and tribes will strive for their country’s dignity.
Head of Physical Education Organization, Ali Saeedlou said that the rallies showed that the people are loyal to lofty ideals of Imam Khomeini as before.
In related development, Public Prosecutor, Abbas Jafari-Dolatabadi said that as long as the people are on the scene, conspirators will not be able to do anything.
Foreign ambassadors and heads of political missions also participated at the Islamic Revolution’s celebrations by attending the special venue for the guests.
