Tehran, Jan 21, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Thursday that Iran strongly opposes bullying powers which are seeking to dominate and humiliate world nations.
The Supreme Leader made the remark in a meeting with Guyanese President Bharrat Jagdeo in Tehran on Thursday.
Guyana has adopted an independent foreign policy in dealing with international affairs, pointed out the Supreme Leader.

Referring to domination of the US and the western powers over Latin American countries in the past, the Supreme Leader said “Fortunately, those nations have been enlightened and prefer politicians who seek independent policies. "The recent presidential elections in your country and your election for the second term in office is a good proof of this claim.”
Referring to common grounds shared by both countries in various fields such as commerce, industry and mining, the Supreme Leader underlined that Iran is ready to transfer its invaluable experiences to its friends.
Muslims in Guyana and the membership of the country in the OIC have prepared the ground for expansion of cooperation between the two countries, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Supreme Leader also expressed his condolences on devastating quake in Haiti which claimed lives of thousands of people.
The Guyanese president, for his part, welcomed Iran’s active presence in Latin America as well as in the Caribbean region and said his country has adopted independent policies in dealing with global affairs and is to make use of Iran’s experiences in various fields.
