Iran waiting for response of other side to stage-by-stage fuel swap
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast said on Tuesday that Tehran is waiting for response by the other side to the fuel purchase proposal and stage-by-stage fuel swap.
Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said Tehran is ready to exchange fuel under certain conditions, otherwise it will put production of fuel on its agenda.
Asked if new anti-Iran sanctions were arriving, he said the sanction policy was not practical and Tehran believes that such ways could not resolve the issues.
Mihman-Parast reiterated that the best possible way was to respect rights of all nations including the legitimate nuclear right of the Iranian people.
On the recent visit to Iraq of Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, he said the two countries signed three agreements on issues of mutual interest including the border issues.
