IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Beijing, Jan 5, IRNA -- China on Tuesday said it still favoured more international talks on Iran's nuclear program.
"Dialogue and negotiation are the right way for properly solving Iranian nuclear issue, and there is still room for diplomatic efforts," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told reporters.
'We hope the relevant parties take more flexible and pragmatic measures and step up diplomatic efforts in a bid to resume talks as soon as possible,' Jiang said.
In Tehran on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast welcomed a statement from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the US left the doors open for talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran is a signatory state to Non-Proliferation Treaty and member of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
