Interior minister warns rioters
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, Jan 3, IRNA -- Minister of Interior Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar on Sunday warned the rioters and said that police will strongly restore law and order.
“We have ordered police not to show any leniency towards rioters from now on and anybody showing up in demonstrations with an aim of complicity with the rioters will be immediately arrested,” Najjar told reporters.
He said that the agents involved in riots are operating under the umbrella of the UK, the US and Zionists.
He added that footprint of the terrorist Mojahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO), the royalists, the anti-revolutionary people and those, being hostile to the Islamic Revolution over the past 30 years, are well observed in the riots.
The Minister said that the rioters acted in an organized manner at the behest of foreigners and the MKO, royalists and the hypocrite insiders.
“So far, a number of the MKO have been arrested whose trial will soon be held by the Judiciary.”
He said that the rioters aim to take revenge on people through their dirty and sinister acts.
