Ayat. Khatami asks Imam Khomeini's loyalists to oppose Islamic Rep. enemies

Tehran, Dec 25, IRNA -- Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami here Friday called on the late Imam Khomeini’s loyalists to stand against foreigners and support of the sacred Islamic Republic system.

“Those loyal to (founder of the Islamic Republic and father of the Islamic Revolution the late) Imam (Khomeini) should take up position against foreigners and condemn (the US President Barack) Obama and enemies of the sacred Islamic Republic system; if they (the loyalists) take an awry stance, they will be mistaken,” said Ayatollah Khatami in his second sermon to large groups of Tehrani worshipers in Tehran University campus.

Switching to Yemen, Ayatollah Khatami said that it is for about six months that Yemen and Yemeni Muslims are in the inferno of ambitions of Americans and Saudis.

He said that 1,011 missiles were dropped on the defenseless Yemeni Muslims last Saturday and 1,520 ones on Sunday.

He criticized the UN, the Arab League and the Organization of the Islamic Conference for keeping silent against the crimes and said the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the atrocities.

“We seriously call on all the international organizations to check the crimes in Yemen,” he said.

On Israel’s theft of Palestinian inmates’ body organs and their transplantation to Israelis, Ayatollah Khatami said that’s an issue admitted by the Zionist press and media.

“Theft of Palestinian prisoners’ body organs is among the usurper Zionist regime’s occupations,” he added.

As for a report that the Zionist regime builds in partnership with Egyptians a huge and steel wall, 30 meters deep, on Rafah crossing to prevent food shipments to Gazans through underground channels, Ayatollah Khatami said the usurper Zionist regime has darkest human rights violation record.

Concluding his sermon, Ayatollah Khatami said fairly speaking, international courts should try and punish the Zionist leaders for their crimes and wrong conducts.
