Tehran, Dec 13, IRNA -- Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani here on Sunday condemned the insult to the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini.
Addressing the open session of Majlis this morning, he stressed that such a heinous move wounded hearts of all Iranian people.
Larijani reiterated that the Iranian university students could not commit such a crime to insult the sanctities of the nation and those of the Islamic Revolution.
Referring to conspiracies of the enemies of Islam against the Iranian nation in the past three decades, he said the Velayat-e Faqih (the Religious Jurisprudence) has always been targeted by the enemies, including the US and its allies, since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
“The reason is clear. What gave identity to the Iranian people who could resist against the dictatorial regime of Shah and led them to struggle against the Global Arrogance was the late Imam’s thinking and theory,” the Majlis speaker stressed.
The late Imam Khomeini encouraged the world nations to move against the Zionist regime and support the oppressed nations, he added.
Meanwhile, Larijani underlined the need for following the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
