Syria, Iran strongly willing to face common enemy - Min. says

Damascus, Dec 11, IRNA -- Syrian Minister of Defense Lieut. Gen. Ali Habib said here Friday that Tehran and Damascus are strongly resolved to face common enemy, a goal for whose materialization they have entered a deal.

Speaking to reporters after signing a defense cooperation agreement with Tehran, Habib said, “We have announced our interest in further expansion of bilateral relations and are determined to move in that direction.”

He said cooperation between Iran and Syria will help both sides better face common enemies.

Also speaking to reporters, Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed forces logistics Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said that Iran has inked a deal with Syria to expand mutual cooperation, thus contributing to regional peace and security.
