Russian min.: Bushehr Power Plant being completed at good speed

Moscow, Dec 6, IRNA – Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko, in a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin here on Saturday afternoon, said Bushehr Power Plant is being completed 'at good speed'.

In the meeting, Shmatko presented a report on his last week visit to Iran and joint economic cooperation commission work as well as his visit to Bushehr Power Plant.

Shmatko was in Iran last Sunday and Monday and during his visit met with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and discussed mutual cooperation in the different fields of energy, commerce and economy.

Before departing Moscow for Tehran, Shmatko had told reporters that Bushehr nuclear power plant will be completed at due time upon the agreement with Iranian officials and there are no obstacles in its way.

He said that work in the power plant is in good condition and system tests are being done.
