Speaking at a routine government press briefing, deputy foreign ministry Andreas Peschke said bilateral discussions would dwell on current international issues, including Iran's nuclear program, disarmament policy and preparations for the meeting of G8 foreign ministers as well as the NATO-Russian foreign ministers' consultations.

Talks are also to focus on German-Russian modernization partnership, added Peschke.
