Iranian nuclear delegation arrive in Beijing

Beijing, April 19, IRNA – A delegation comprising Iranian nuclear officials and experts arrived in Beijing on Sunday to attend an international conference on “Energy in the 21st Centurey”.

The Iranian team composed of Deputy for Planning and International Affairs at Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Saeedi, AEOI’s Deputy for power plants Ahmad Fayyaz Bakhsh and Iran’s Ambassador to IAEA Ali Asghar Soltaniyeh arrived in Beijing on Sunday.

The Iranian delegation is to attend an international conference on “Energy in the 21st Century” to be held for a week in China.

Some 30 energy ministers and representatives from 65 countries are to attend the three-day event.

Saeedi who heads the Iranian delegation is to deliver a speech on Iran’s nuclear program in the long run.

A number of top nuclear officials such as IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei are to attend the event.

During the conference various specialized committees on 'Sources of Energy and Environment', 'Nuclear Energy and its prospects in the future', and 'Creation of development infrastructures' are to be formed.

Experts and representatives from Iran, US, India, Germany, France, Nigeria, Chile, Jordan, Syria, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Argentina and others will also be present in the gathering.

An exhibition on nuclear electricity is to be held on the sidelines of the conference.
