IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Kerman, April 15, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that some 7,000 centrifuges are presently operating in the Natanz nuclear facilities in central Iran.

“Despite efforts made by certain powers to isolate Iran for its peaceful nuclear program, the country has some 7,000 centrifuges working presently in Natanz nuclear facilities in Isfahan province," said the president in an address to the locals in this central provincial capital city.

President Ahmadinejad and his cabinet members arrived in Kerman this morning.

Since several years ago, certain powers have “ being jatching a series of political plots under unfounded excuses to stop Iran from making progress in its peaceful nuclear activities,” said the president.

He added, “They even went as far as telling the Iranian side in Paris and in Tehran to close its university courses related to nuclear science, laboratories and spare parts production units.”

President Ahmadinejad stressed that the hardworking and determined people of Iran would continue their move towards further progress despite all plots being hatched by the enemy.
