Army to confront any soft threat: Commander
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, April 12, IRNA -- Commander of the Islamic Republic Army Major General Ata’ollah Salehi said on Sunday that the Iranian army is ready to confront any form of enemy’s “soft threat.”
Addressing a number of graduated cadets in an army academy downtown Tehran, the major general said enemies' war against Iran has not been over yet but was, instead, continuing in new forms such as soft threats and psychological warfare.
Salehi stated that although the eight years of imposed war against Iran was finished and all terrorist attacks and threats of the past against the country’s Islamic system have come to an end, enemies have not yet abandoned hostility towards Iran.
Salehi’s comments came a few days ahead of the National Army Day which is to be held in the country on April 18.
