New stage of nuclear program to become operational soon: president

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, April 8, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that he will commission new stage of nuclear program during his visit to Isfahan.

The president, along with his cabinet ministers, arrived in the ancient city of Isfahan, capital of the central Isfahan province, this morning to follow up implementation of the projects that had been approved during the first round of his provincial visits.

Talking to reporters upon arrival in the city, he said that visiting Isfahan nuclear installations tops the agenda of his current provincial visit.

He added that he would attend ceremonies on the occasion of Iran’s 3rd National Nuclear Day to be held on Thursday.

Referring to Isfahan as "Heart of Iran", he said the province is the center of Iran’s culture and civilization.

Later on Wednesday, the president is to address local residents at the city’s main stadium and meet with families of martyrs and war veterans.

He is also to hold separate meetings with provincial clerics and scholars.

The president will also chair a cabinet meeting in Isfahan to discuss the province’s needs.
