Another reporter asked, “(US President) Obama has said in Turkey that he extends a hand for friendship towards Iran. Does Iran regard that comment as a political game, or will Tehran accept it as real?”
The president replied, “We have already declared that we are waiting for practical deeds and real changes on the part of the United States. President Ahmadinejad welcomed the proposal, arguing, “Any country that has uranium mines and the capability to produce nuclear fuel can also establish a nuclear fuel bank.”
He reiterated, “Regarding the nuclear issue two major developments need to take place simultaneously. One is ending considering the nuclear energy quite the same as the nuclear bomb and the other one is the disarmament of the nuclear powers of the world.”
Ahmadinejad added, “This would ease concerns regarding those powers and ease the global concerns. Therefore, the issue would be solved quite basically.”
He reiterated, “Ever since the time when the nuclear energy was introduced as an equal for the nuclear bomb, this energy was monopolized, while the nuclear power can be beneficial in the medical, the agricultural, and the industrial fields.”
Our country’s president added, “I would not say there has been an intentional will behind doing so and for introducing the nuclear power and the nuclear bomb as the same, but keeping in mind the broad negative advantage that has been taken of it, we cannot say that it has totally been unintentional.”
