IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Algiers, Feb 15, IRNA – Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency said that although Iran enjoys high potentials and capability in the nuclear technology arena, it has not produced atomic bombs.
He made the remarks while addressing a seminar held at the Cairo American University.
On rumors regarding attack on Iran’s nuclear installations, he said, “If one Iranian nuclear power plant is destroyed, they (the Iranians) will construct another power plant.”
As to the Islamic Republic’s increasing influence in the region, he stressed that the West cannot adopt the carrot and stick policy towards this country.
The UN watchdog chief reiterated that there are issues that should be solved between Iran and the West, in one hand, and Iran and the Arab states, on the other.
