President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday that the situation has turned into Iran's favor on nuclear talks.
Ahmadinejad made the remark in a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan.
Referring to the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program, he said the situation has turned into the Iranian nation's favor because the western countries were not ready to talk over the issue in the past but now they have voiced readiness to continue talks.
Current relationship between Tehran an Ankara is very friendly and brotherly, he said and lauded the stands of Turkey on Iran's peaceful nuclear activities. He also underlined that there are many commonalties between the two countries.
"Iran regards Turkey's development as its own and believes that both countries share identical viewpoints," said the Iranian president.
On Iraq's developments, he said there is no other alternative but to strengthen democratic government in Iraq and Iran and Turkey should help materialize this goal.
The Turkish foreign minister, for his part, described the two sides' relations as deeply rooted and called for expansion of relations and investments in both countries.
Backing Iran's peaceful nuclear activities, he said Turkey believes that it is among legitimate rights of every nation to gain access to peaceful nuclear energy.
On Iraq's developments, he said Ankara respects Iraq's territorial integrity and its independence.
