Iran's official response to the Group 5+1 package of incentives was handed over to Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexei Borodavkin by Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Gholam-Reza Ansari on Saturday.

The Russian official welcomed Tehran's constructive approach towards the issue of its nuclear standoff with the West, hoping that the next round of talks between the two sides would lead to a "better understanding."

On Friday, Iran's Ambassador to Belgium, Ali-Asghar Khaji, delivered to the European Union foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, in Brussels, Tehran's response to the G5+1 package of incentives.

Khaji expressed hope that the G5+1 member states (The United States, China, Russia, Germany, Britain and France) would prepare the grounds for reaching a comprehensive agreement with a "constructive outlook" based on the common points of the two packages of proposals exchanged between Iran and the G5+1 during the last few months.
