Iran-Nuclear-Jalili
Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili said Saturday that commonalties in the proposed packages of Iran and the G5+1 can serve as a good start for cooperation and talks.
"As a country with immense potential, Iran is ready for talks and cooperation in areas of mutual concern. Commonalties of the two packages (proposed by Iran and the G5+1) can serve as a good start for cooperation and talks," Jalili said at the 8th Nurenburg Security Conference.
Jalili said what has been raised in Iran's proposed package is the country's capacity and mutual potential for allaying the concerns of both sides.
"Undoubtedly, mutual cooperation is a prerequisite for overcoming mutual concerns and that's exactly the point which was brought to the notice of EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana," he announced.
He said that Iran is ready for such cooperation in the belief that talks and dialogue can start with the commonalties.
Elsewhere in the video conference address, Jalili said that Iran can be a major partner for Europe in terms of the role it plays in the region.
