Vienna, June 20, IRNA

Islamic Republic of Iran's proposed nuclear package that was presented to the IAEA Chief Muhamed ElBaradei on May 21st, 2008, was published here Friday as an IAEA document.

In the document, a copy of which was put at the disposal of IRNA, it is hoped that the new round of talks would pave the path for the two sides' long-term cooperation, as well as the establishment of international peace and security.

The package has meanwhile emphasized that the result of such talks should be reaching a comprehensive agreement on economic, political, regional, and international cooperation over nuclear, and energy security fields.

The package has meanwhile declared that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to resume negotiations that would lead to strengthening the foundations of peace, and security as well as establishment of democracy in the region.

It adds, "Such talks can also be held in other parts of the world, such as Palestine, and lead to the establishment of democracy and restoration of justice, thus solving the 60-year problem of the Palestinian nation."

The package furthermore refers to the need to solve such problems as terrorism, illegal immigration, narcotic drugs and organized crime, pointing out that such problems are the root causes for lack of security and play negative roles in efforts aimed at establishment of economic and nuclear cooperation.

Cooperation aimed at providing energy and business security, combatting against poverty and social injustice, and global inflation as indices of economic cooperation are proposed to world nations in this package.

In the section on nuclear cooperation, too, the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced readiness as an NPT member to assist the international community in devising measures aimed at making sure that different nations' nuclear programs would not divert towards the forbidden objectives.

Iran has proposed the establishment of an international consortium commissioned to produce nuclear fuel, that the Islamic Republic of Iran would be one of its members.

In that respect, assuring that all nations could have access to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, global nuclear disarmament, boosting the IAEA supervision over the nuclear activities of various countries, and greater cooperation to assure nuclear security are the Islamic Republic of Iran's other proposals to the intentional community.
