Iran-Albright-Condemnation
Iran's envoy to the United Nations has strongly rejected allegations by former UN nuclear weapons inspector, David Albright, on Iran.
Albright, also head of the US-based International Institute of Science and Security, had alleged that the Pakistani nuclear scientist, Abdul Qadeer Khan, has sold secret plans for advanced nuclear weapons to Iran.
In a statement published at UN headquarters in New York, Iranian envoy, Khazaei, said that this is not the first time that untrue things are said about Iran.
Khazaei referred to the baseless statements by Albright in 2004 regarding Iran's nuclear military site in Parchin in northwest Tehran which proved to be as untrue after IAEA inspectors visited the site.
He noted that Iran's nuclear program has been and is merely for peaceful purposes and it will remain so.
