Iran-Powers-President
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that the bullying powers have failed to press Iran to give up its legitimate right to produce nuclear energy.
Ahmadinejad made the remarks in the sixth national seminar of the Islamic Seminaries' Lecturers Society.
He said, "In our opinion, the nuclear issue is over, but they have begun a new play in this respect, which is a trial for them and will bring them about failure and humiliation."
The Iranian government put the nuclear issue on foreign policy agenda in light of adequate familiarity with the global atmosphere, he noted.
Underlining the fact that the enemies are not able to harm Iran, he said that the morale of the arch foe is low suffering from desperation.
The president added that the era of bullying policy has ended in theoretical and practical domains.
Pointing to his visit to Iraq, he noted, "I was the first head of government that I announced my official arrival in Baghdad two days earlier, but despite having numerous military forces, the US and British heads of state spent only a few hours in Iraq and left the country before night."
Ahmadinejad referred to the point that he refused to reside in the Green Zone, which is under the control of the US forces, adding that according reliable information, they had planned to kidnap and assassinate him during his visit to Iraq.
