Larijani: Majlis will study G5+1 package carefully

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, June 15, IRNA
Iran-Majlis-Package
Majlis speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that the Iranian parliament will study the Group 5+1 package of incentives precisely.

The package was handed over to Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki by European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana who arrived in Tehran on Friday for talks aimed at helping resolve a dispute over Iran's nuclear program.

Solana also presented a message to Mottaki from foreign ministers of the group's six member states (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council -- China, Russia, France, Britain and the US -- plus Germany).

The EU official is accompanied by political directors of the G5+1 states foreign ministries.

Larijani said that Tehran welcomed resolving the issue of its peaceful nuclear activities through dialogue.

However, he suggested the G5+1 member states "not to develop an amnesia theory about Iran as it is just wasting of time."
