Iran has routine, normal relations with IAEA

Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini, said on Sunday that Iran has routine and normal relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He told reporters that since the IAEA has announced that all its findings have been in full conformity with Iran's nuclear activities, the country's peaceful nuclear case has become normalized.
Although the IAEA Director General's report indicates that Mohamed ElBaradei has been under political pressures by certain pretext-seeking countries, the report contains no negative documentary issue against Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
As to pressures exerted by certain countries on the UN nuclear watchdog, he said if the pressures did not exist, the agency would have presented a better report.
"We were expecting more than this from the agency," Hosseini told reporters, adding, "If it had not been for the pressure from one or two countries, the agency could have made a better report which would not give any opportunity for some countries who are seeking pretexts to put pressure on Tehran."
It has been for a long time since these countries have targeted the credit and independence of the agency, he said stressing, "The resistance of the agency's officials can help maintain the prestige of the international institution."
Cooperation should be carried out within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and the agency's regulations so that the Iranian parliament would not revise the current process of cooperation and make new decisions, he reiterated.
