Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said on Tuesday that Iran has given response to all questions of the International Atomic Energy Agency and they have approved the transparency of Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
Hosseini who led a team of Iranian mass media directors to Bahrain conferred on Tuesday with Bahrain's Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Mubark.
He said that the recent NIE report by some 16 US intelligence organs proved civilian nature of Iranian nuclear program.
At the meeting, Hosseini underlined that despite the IAEA verified Iran's non-diversion from Non-Proliferation Treaty, the Group 5+1 continues with propaganda and bring various charges against Iran.
"We expect these countries to take the international conventions into account and never stand against legitimate rights of nations," he said.
Unfortunately, the big powers do not abide by the international rules and regulations and continue with proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and simply ignore all governing rules.
Referring to expansion of cooperation between Iran and Bahrain, he said the two sides senior officials are determined to broaden political, cultural and economic cooperation.
Bahraini deputy foreign minister, for his part, highlighted the expansion of ties between Iran and Bahrain and said the Bahraini government and its nation attach importance to expansion of cooperation with Iran and are determined to further bolster the brotherly ties mainly because such cooperation will help economic development of the nations in the region.
The Bahraini official said, "We support Iran's nuclear program as the IAEA does."
