Khatami urges IAEA head to bring Iran's N-case to close

Tehran, Jan 11, IRNA
Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami here Friday called on the IAEA Chief Mohammed ElBaradei to bring Iran's nuclear case to a close at the IAEA.
Addressing large groups of worshipers in this week's Friday prayers congregation, Ayatollah Khatami said in his second sermon, "We hope Mr. ElBaradei will face more realities... and by offering a positive and realistic report, would try to completely close Iran's nuclear case at the Agency. And (in doing this) he is expected to show that the Agency seeks materialization of the members' rights rather than their denial."
He said, "We are an NPT member and have acted on our duties.
We have stood in support for our rights and our people have shown time and again that they would not back down from their nuclear rights even one iota."
The cleric announced that Iran's nuclear issue is following its right course and it has been proved to the world that Iran's nuclear activities have been peaceful both in the past and present time. And what were claimed through the arrogant mouthpieces have been proved to the world to be false, he added.
